Recently our grandson spent two months at Van Buren Health and Rehab. He was treated very well and taken great care of. We want people to know what nice treatment he received.
I also was there 2 1/2 years ago when I broke my hip, and my husband was there about seven years ago when he fractured his pelvis falling off a roof. Some of the workers still remember us by our names.
It’s nice knowing we have a facility where people care.

I wanted to let our extended family at VBHR know how how much the family of Larry Lynn appreciates you. 2013 was a tough year. We knew dad was having some cognitive problems, but never imagined that he would go from independence to dependence within two months due to sudden onset dementia. We needed help and needed it immediately.
The people of VBHR provided and continues to provide help for us. You all have cared for dad and us: from Jennifer the business office, to Christy on dad's wing, to every staff person. You've been so kind and have let my family and I know we are not alone. Dad truly has an extended family at VBHR.
I realize words aren't always adequate, but please know these words are from the heart....
Thank you, and God bless each and every one of you.
Sincerely, Aaron Lynn (Larry Lynn's son)
Alphonso Trent came to VBHR as a rehab resident and enjoyed his stay here where he made a lot of friends. “I have gotten a lot better, a lot better than when I came in! I owe all of my success to the efforts of every one of the wonderful people here.” “I do miss being at home at times, but who wouldn’t want to be at home on a beautiful day like today,” I smiled as we walked down the hall knowing it would be our last walk together before he did actually get to go home to enjoy days like this at home. Mr. Trent was one of those residents who would know your name as soon as he heard your voice or saw your face, and it made you smile.
One of Trent’s major concerns is “trying to think of what to eat from meal to meal when he gets home.” He has really enjoyed the meals provided by the dietary staff at VBHR. “It’s always exciting to see what they prepare for me.”
Although, the staff here at VBHR will miss Mr. Trent we know he came here, to get better and go back home, the place he loves! And getting better was what his stay here at VBHR was all about.
The staff not only cares for my mom but you can tell they care for everyone at the facility like they are family.
I have gotten to know a lot of the staff and have nothing but good things to say.
Judy Cook.
